brass dress - 真鍮のドレス
0.1ｍｍの真鍮線で編まれたドレスです。非常に細かな線の集合で成立しています。私の絵画の中でドレスを着た女性像は度々登場するモチーフのひとつです。きつく編まれた部分はひとつの塊として認識することでしょう。またゆるく編まれた部分は、その隙間から背景を通してみることができます。
どこまでが作品なのでしょうか。どこまでが背景なのでしょうか。今回は女性のドレスという象徴的な形態のため自然に認識することができますが、人間の経験による認知なんて案外当てにならないものかもしれません。
This dress is knitted of brass wires of 0.1mm. It is made of the set of a very small line. A woman in a dress is one of a usual motif in my paintings. You will think that tightly woven parts looks like a one of the mass. Also, you can look through a crack of loosely woven parts a background.
How far is it a work? How far is it a background? You can look naturally because it is a symbolic form of dress. However, the recognition by a human perception may be more deceptive than you think.
